Kids should be able to experience art in fun and exciting atmosphere. I enjoy nurturing the creativity that all children possess and hopefully they learn something along the way.
Degrees and Certifications:
I graduated from WVU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design.
More About Me:
My formal art training began when I was about 6 years old in private art classes. I’ve enjoyed the arts throughout my entire life. While attending WVU as an engineering major, I realized that my heart and talents were in a more creative vein. That led me to switch to the Interior Design program at WVU. In addition to teaching art at St. Mary’s, my husband, Brian and I own Hamilton House in downtown Bridgeport. The shop has my design studio and library, as well as antiques and unique gift items, some of which I make. In my spare time, I am a scout leader for the St. Mary’s Cub Scouts. When my son started his St. Mary’s education, I started volunteering in many different ways. When Mrs. Folio was talking about the renovations to the first floor, I immediately offered to help. Somehow, it became the path to teaching art at the school. I am thankful for the opportunity of being involved with our children. St. Mary’s isn’t just a school, it is a family.
