Our St. Mary’s international week program and feast will be Wednesday, November 15 @10:00 AM. Even though this is on a Wednesday, ALL STUDENTS including Tuesday & Thursday will participate in this day. Our class will represent the country of ITALY! The students will perform a dance from Italy and will also be parading in carrying a poster that represents Italy! These posters will be made at home and we will be sending the poster board home with your child, there will be instructions on how it should be decorated. You may include any family Italian Heritage if there is any in your family- if not NO WORRIES. This will be a simple and fun project that you and your child can do together. There will be examples in the classroom that you can see from past years if you have any questions. This will take place in the school auditorium (behind the offices). Students in grades Pre3-Kindergarten will be a part of this day and we encourage you to invite your extended family. Costumes for this program are also very simple. See below—
GIRLS: ANY TYPE OF SKIRT above the knee T-, white blouse/shirt, a scarf or belt, any red, white or green jewelry, white tights and any type of “safe” shoes (just please no tennis shoes).
BOYS: Black or Navy pants, white shirt, a red scarf to use as a belt/cummerbund/sash, any type of vest, a hat if they want, and any type of “safe” shoes (just please no tennis shoes).
This is usually a well-attended program, so we encourage you get there early to get a good seat and bring your cameras. Following the program there will be a cookie reception that all are invited to attend.
