January 29-February 2

Week of January 29-February 2
Catholic Schools Week
Today your child’s Reader’s Notebook is coming home because we have completed the first half of the reading series. There are some pages we did not do. We often do activities in the classroom(playing games, using whiteboards, etc.) covering those skills without completing a worksheet. You may want to have your child work on those pages for extra practice. They are wonderful to have handy on snow days or to play school. Also, many pages are not graded, as we did those activities together in class.
The children are now working in the fourth reading book. You will see that there are now more vocabulary words and more of the spelling words will follow the phonics rule we are learning. Please make sure your child can read all of the vocabulary words; they are in the story and on the reading test.
