Robin Altenburg

My name is Robin Altenburg and I have lived in Clarksburg for the past 25 years. My husband Gary and I have been married for 22 years. We have two children, Alexander and Alexis. Alex is 17 and is a senior at Notre Dame. Alexis is 14 and in the 9th grade also at Notre Dame. I am an active member of Immaculate Conception Church. I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoyed being an assistant Girl Scout leader for 5 years. I was also employed through the Harrison County Board of Education as a Parent Volunteer Coordinator for Title 1 for 5 years along with being on the Parent Advisory Council.

In December of 2011 I received an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood from Pierpont Community and Technical College. I Graduated with honors and was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. In April 2010 I was awarded the Dr. Joanna Nesselroad Early Childhood Award for academic achievement. I am currently working on my bachelors degree in Child Development and Family Studies and Pre- K certification. I am a senior at WVU.

I enjoy walking, playing with my family outdoors, reading, and crafting. Teaching children is truly my passion and I feel privileged to be able to enrich their lives by sharing God’s word and helping them on their way to be the best they can be.
