Week of December 4-8

Week of December 4-8
Happy December! The new Poem of the Month is coming home today. We kept it short because we understand how busy this month is.
The children have started to learn about Advent. We are sending home an Advent calendar with some lovely activities to help you and your child prepare your hearts and minds for Christmas. These do not have to be done in any order, nor do the calendars need to be returned.
Since starting the third Reading book we have a few extra vocabulary words. We will continue to use six as Spelling words but I will list the other two to the side of the Spelling words. We use these words throughout the week as a part of the story and discuss the meaning and usage of them. Please make sure your child is able to read and use them in a sentence.
