Dear Catholic School Families-

Governor Jim Justice has extended his emergency declaration order closing schools up to September 8, 2020, and our Catholic schools are required to obey his emergency order, even though we are prepared to open in the traditional teachers-and-students-in-the-classroom mode following State and public health guidance.

The Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston Catholic schools remain committed to providing quality Catholic school education while working with local and state health officials to provide the safest possible learning environment for our students, staff and administrators.

We know this raises a multitude of questions, which we will spend the up-coming days working through to develop answers for you.

Peace-

Mary Ann Deschaine, Ed.S.

Superintendent

Science Fun!

We have been busy exploring different Physical Science lessons during science class. Kindergarten and First grades explored properties of pumpkins this week, 2nd graders have been learning about the different states of matter, 3rd graders explored the force of magnetism, and 4th, 5th, and 6th graders have been learning about force, motion, and energy.

We will be experimenting with slime for Halloween next week in grades K-5. Please send in a bottle of glue and any other add in your child may want to use. I will be providing materials as well, but anything you want to send in is helpful 😊 Thank you all for your continued support!
