Notes of Interest:

Our Intent to Return link is open on our website at www.stmaryswv.org.  If your child is returning to St. Mary’s next year, please complete this form to simply hold your child’s position at St. Mary’s.  Add any incoming children to this list also.

Applications are now open to new parishioners at www.stmaryswv.org.   Please refer interested families to our office for a tour and one on one conversation.

PK4 Parents:  Mark your calendars for March 1 at 5:00.  We will have a private meeting for you in the school auditorium to help you complete the HOPE Scholarship application and the school application.  In order to apply for HOPE, you must have a WVEIS # from the county your child would attend public school.  This is obtained by completing an Intent to Attend A Private School Form and submitting this to your local board of education.  They will assign the WVEIS #.   This form will be emailed to you.  Please bring a device (laptop or iPad) with you.

Valentine’s Parties:  PK 3 and PK 4 will have their parities on Monday, Feb 13 at 9:30 am.  Kindergarten – 6th parties will be Valentine’s Day, Feb 14 at 1:30pm.  Party moms/dads will be admitted 15 minutes prior to the party start time. The PK4 classroom will be open on Tuesday afternoon for younger siblings if you are in need of a place for them to stay while you assist with a party.

Valentine’s Dress Down Day:   PK3 and PK4 may dress down in red on Monday and Tuesday.  Kindergarten – 6th grades may dress down in red on Tuesday.

Weather Delay/Snow Days:  We follow Harrison County Schools.  In the event of a 3 hour delay, St. Mary’s and Notre Dame operate a Tech/Remote Day.   In the event of a 2 hour delay, Preschool will operate for 1 hour.  Extended Care will be available for Preschool students on Delay Days.

TAPs:   Phase 1 of the Tuition Assistance Program application opens on Feb 1 for all Catholic families and closes on April 30.   Awards will be announced in May.   Phase 11 is now open to Catholics and Non-Catholics and closes on August 31.  This application can be submitted during Phase 1 and will not need to be resubmitted for Phase 2 awards.

HandS Meeting:  SCHEDULE CHANGE

The HandS Meeting has been moved to MARCH 1 at 6 PM in the SMS Auditorium.

Shoe Drive Update

As of this morning, we have collected 2,008 pairs of shoesThank you to everyone that has brought in shoes for our drive. Please keep them coming – we only need to collect 492 more pairs to hit our total project goal of 2,500. With so much generosity and support from the community, we have decided to extend the shoe drive to give everyone a chance to participate! Please take this bonus time to clean out your closets, ask your neighbors and family to do the same, and collect as many shoes as possible to help our school and those less fortunate. A huge shout out to Christina Nielson for securing over 550 pairs of shoes this week through her neighborhood. Thank you, Christina!
