It’s Time To Party
Welcome to Preschool 3! We are so excited to have your child in class!! We have had a great start to the year!! With our very first party coming up at the end of October, this is just an overview of some things you can expect whether you are head party coordinator, contributing, or just there as a guest of your child. Our parties will be held in the stream room this year and we will be able to use the gym for games, we are very excited to have the opportunity to use these two great spaces.
There are 3 parties per year 1. Halloween (October), 2. Christmas (December), and 3. Valentine’s Day (February), and a few other fun days throughout the year that we will be asking for volunteers! There are different head coordinators for each party. These were chosen based on the volunteer sheet that each family filled out at the beginning of the year. The job of the head coordinator is to get in touch with the other parents that have volunteered to help by either providing the plates, drinks, or game/craft and making sure all is organized and ready so we can maximize the short amount of time we have. There is usually about 45min-1hr from beginning to end for the parties. Each class party usually involves: 1. An activity (game & a craft) & 2. A snack. We ask that the parent’s that have been assigned to their specific party to lead the party from the beginning to the end. This is a unique opportunity to meet all your child’s classmates, many of their parents, and work closely with your child’s teacher. Our prayer is that years from now your child will remember this time with you with a story that will go something like, “Remember when you were the classroom helper and ………………….” Those memories are irreplaceable. All your efforts are greatly appreciated especially by your children. We thank you for volunteering and being a part of the St. Mary’s community. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
