Dear St. Mary’s Families:


Monday, October 31, will be our Halloween Party and Parade Day.   Please see the notes below. 

All students are dismissed at 10:40 on Monday.  

Students in grades K-6 are to return at 1:00.  The Parade will begin around 1:15. There is No Extended Care for PK and No Keepers after school on Monday.


On Tuesday, November 1, the Winter Uniform begins.  This means no more shorts and no more tennis shoes except for PE Day on Thursdays.


Saint Dolls are also due on Tuesday, November 1, with a brief presentation from all students.


Tuesday, November 1, will also be our Mass Day for the week for All Saints Day.  All students are to wear their Formal Uniforms on Tuesday. Students have been asked to bring in pictures of departed family members for our prayer time this month.   Your pictures will be returned.



Notes of Interest:


Halloween- October 31:  All students will all be dismissed at 10:40 am to go home for lunch.

Students in grades K-6 will need to return at 1:00 for the parade, which begins at 1:15.

We will plan to parade out the front door towards Immaculate Conception, around the block to Main Street and back into the front entrance.

*PK3 and PK4 Parties are in the morning at 9:30.  The PK Parade will be in the parking lot in the back at 10:15 am.  *There will not be any extended care for preschool students on Halloween Day. 

*There will not be any Keepers on Oct 31.


  • PK3 and PK4 Parents working other parties:  If you need child care during the afternoon party time for your PK3 or PK4 child, we will have the PK4 Room open for them for extended care at no charge.  We will make sure the little ones go out to see the parade too!

A Note from Natalie, HandS President:

A heartfelt thank you to all SMS and ND families that participated in the annual Trunk or Treat, especially those families that provided trunks, candy, and games! Despite cooler temperatures and a light drizzle, the evening was lively, enjoyable, and fun! 🎃 We even had a visit from the Grinch! 🎄


A special thank you to HandS co-chairpersons Rhea Dyer and Natalie Gigliotti;

Loria Cavallo  and Ashley Vernon, who assisted with planning;

REMINDER: The next HandS meeting is Wednesday, November 9 at 6 PM in the school auditorium. All are welcome!

December 19:  Pk3 and Pk4 Christmas Parties at 9:30 am

December 21:  Lessons and Carols at IC Church at 11:00 am, families invited
