Notes of Interest:
Summer Reading Challenge: Please return all Summer Reading Challenge Forms by Fruday, September 1. If you need a form, it is located on our school website.
MAP Testing: The beginning of the year MAP (measure of academic performance) will begin on Tuesday, September 5. Students are tested 3 times a year to determine academic growth and performance. The first test will give us a baseline for your child’s performance.
Office Forms: All forms for school are online now. Please complete these forms using the link sent in an email.
Uniforms: Please see details again that are attached (in latest email). Girls hairbows and hairbands are to be navy, white, or gray ( with regular uniform , or the school plaid. Girls are not to wear any jewelry that is large. Small necklaces and crosses are fine but large jewelry such as costume beads and large earrings are not compatible with our uniform policy.
Mass: As a school, students and staff in PK3-6th grade will attend Mass every Friday. Students are to wear Formal Uniforms on Fridays. All shirts for boys and girls for the Formal Uniform are to be white.
Mass with Bishop Brennan: On August 29, Bishop Brennan will be in our schools to visit with children and then do an all schools mass for our students at 1:00. Families are invited to attend mass. Students will be required to sit with their class in the front of the church. Families are asked to fill in pews around and behind the students. Students must wear Formal Uniforms.
Keepers: We are in search of a full time supervisor for this program every day from 2:30-5:30. We are in danger of having to discontinue this program if we can not find a full time supervisor. Please help in our search!
Grandparents Day Celebration: On Friday, September 8th we will be celebrating Grandparents Day. All grandparents are invited! We will start the day with mass then invite all our guests to join their students in the parish hall for pictures and a sweet treat. In addition to the grandparents in attendance, a special opportunity will be available to pray for all our grandparents. A form was shared last week and is also attached ( to the latest school email ) asking for attendance numbers so that we can provide enough recognition items for our grandparents/surrogate grandparents in attendance. Please return this form no later than Friday, September 1st. Questions? Text Pam Leonard 740-525-2846.
If any parent or grandparent is interested in volunteering in the school this year, please check out our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/3552395778379173/ for opportunities to sign up.
